I wonder about who we are, what’s going on, and what it’s all about. That’s one of the reasons I write and illustrate stories. It’s my way of exploring my favorite answers to these questions. Spoiler Alert: though all my books are different, plot-wise they tell the same story – that the world, and we ourselves, are far more wonderful than we ever thought possible.
Novelist Jim Thompson famously said, “There are thirty-two ways to write a story, and I’ve used every one, but there is only one plot – things are not as they seem.” Indeed, things are never as they seem, and stories are the place where we get to choose whether they are worse or better. I choose better.
I invite you to explore and find out why.
